Saatva Elevates Hospitality Design at High Point’s First-Ever VRDS 2023
Saatva Shines as Exclusive Mattress & Bedding Sponsor at Inaugural Vacation Rental Design Summit
Saatva proudly participated in the inaugural Vacation Rental Design Summit (VRDS) at High Point on April 20–21, 2023. Held at historic Congdon Yards, the sold-out event brought together more than 300 hospitality designers, creatives, and industry leaders for two days focused on the evolving world of vacation rental design.
As the exclusive mattress and bedding sponsor, Saatva played a central role in the event’s inaugural vacation rental home, which was designed to showcase how thoughtful interiors can elevate the guest experience. Saatva’s signature bed became a natural focal point throughout the event, serving as a backdrop for speaker interviews and conversations with leading voices in hospitality and design, including interior designer Joy Williams and House Beautiful’s Carisha Swanson.
“The vacation rental space has become such an exciting frontier for designers, because it allows us to think beyond a beautiful room and really consider how people want to live, gather, rest, and experience a place,” said Joy Williams, the acclaimed interior designer and founder of Joyful Designs, who has partnered with Saatva on numerous occasions. “Saatva understands that the bedroom is a critical part of that experience, and their approach to comfort and design makes them a natural fit for hospitality.”
The summit was founded by Jane Dagmi of HPxD, Jessica Duce of JDuce Design and Vacation Rental Designers, and Ericka Saurit of Saurit Creative, who recognized an opportunity to bring the rapidly growing vacation rental design community together under one roof.
“VRDS was created to connect designers, brands, and the broader vacation rental community around the idea that great design can transform the guest experience,” said Jane Dagmi, Managing Director of High Point X Design (HPxD). “Having Saatva as part of our inaugural summit helped bring that vision to life, particularly through the thoughtful integration of sleep and wellness into the design conversation.”
Throughout the two-day summit, Saatva connected with leading hospitality designers and showcased its commitment to bringing luxury, comfort, and considered design to spaces beyond the traditional home.
The successful debut established VRDS as an important new gathering for the hospitality design community and allowed Saatva to demonstrate how the right sleep experience can be an integral part of exceptional hospitality design.
